The read
Curtis owns two of the three biggest wins of the Yahoo era, including a 192.12-point game in 2020. He also had an 11-game losing streak in 2021, tied for second-longest ever. Nine seasons of that have added up to a .492 record, one last-place finish, and no podiums. He and Ryan are the only nine-year managers never to finish top three.
The Rams fandom is all over his roster history: 48 weeks of the Rams defense and another 30 of Kyren Williams. The infrastructure has been there too. Josh Allen spent 59 weeks on his roster, he trades more than anyone but Alex and Austin (27 deals over both eras, ten of them in the Yahoo years, his best a 2019 deal worth +477.5 in the long run), and he will spend at auction ($79 max buy) and on waivers ($734 all time, the most in the league, $185 of it in 2020 on budget he traded for). He topped the 2018 draft board and finished last on 2017's. What is missing is floor management. He is 3-7 in the playoffs when the good version shows up, and whole seasons disappear when it doesn't.
