The league's rules · last updated Sep 7, 2026

LOL SO COSMO is a twelve-team fantasy football league, established in 2014. It played on NFL.com from 2014 to 2016, on Yahoo from 2017 to 2020, and on Sleeper since 2021. Austin Kilgore is the commissioner and keeps this site, which is the league's record. Where the record and anyone's memory disagree, the record is checked against its sources and corrected in the open; the receipts are on Data notes.

Nine starters: a quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, a tight end, a flex, a kicker and a team defense. The flex takes a running back, a wide receiver or a tight end. Bench size: [bench size].

Full point-per-reception scoring since 2018; 2017 was half a point. An interception thrown costs two points. Everything else follows the platform's standard settings for the season. Scoring settings are read from the platform each season and are never edited by hand, and the record reproduces them against every box score on file; the receipt is on Data notes.

An auction since 2019: every manager has $200 to fill the roster, and a manager's first draft in the league carries $210. The 2017 and 2018 drafts were snake drafts. Every board is on Drafts. Keepers: the record shows one kept player in 2022 and three in 2023, and the rule that allows them is [keeper rule].

Free-agent acquisition budget since 2019: $100 a manager for the season, blind bids, and the winning bid is spent. Before 2019 waivers ran on priority and cost nothing. Budget can change hands in a trade. Every bid, won or lost, is on Moves.

Managers trade players and free-agent budget between themselves. Every trade since 2017 is on the record with three grades: on paper the day it was made, in the books at the end of that season, and the long run. No trade on the record was processed after week 12 in any season since 2022. How a trade is reviewed, and whether the league can veto one: [trade review].

Fourteen regular-season games, weeks 1 to 14, since 2021; thirteen through 2020. Two divisions of six, LA and NY on Sleeper, West and North on Yahoo. Six teams make the playoffs. The two division winners take the first and second seeds and the first-round byes whatever their records; the other four seeds go by record. Quarterfinals in week 15, semifinals in week 16, the final in week 17 (weeks 14 to 16 through 2020). The teams knocked out play placement games and the six outside the bracket play a consolation round, and every one of those games is on the record. The tiebreak between equal records: [tiebreak].

The winner of the final is the champion. A title shared by two managers of one roster counts half a ring each, as 2025 does for Greg and Drake. Last place in the regular season is the sacko and owes the league a punishment; the list is on Punishments.

[dues and payouts] What the league pays in and how the pot is split is not on the record.

[how rules change] How a rule is proposed and passed is not on the record. Rulings the commissioner has made on the record itself (the half ring, the first-draft budget, the 2021 week 9 result, the 2025 extra-point return) are documented on Data notes.
